The Government-run George Town Hospital generally only fills prescriptions written by hospital doctors. In special circumstances, however, it may fill prescriptions written by private doctors.

Although there is a small cottage hospital in Cayman Brac, there is no pharmacy, so travelers are advised to take their medication with them.

There is no national health service in the Cayman Islands, so fees are charged for medical treatment. Costs are similar to those in private hospitals in the USA.

There is no reciprocal agreement between the Cayman Government and the UK National Health Service.
