The Caribbean’s Best Beach
Seven Mile Beach is the most popular and attractive area of the Cayman Islands. It is, as a result, the most highly developed and has some of the Islands’ best facilities. Most of Cayman’s luxury hotels and resorts are on Seven Mile Beach. It is also home to many residential resorts and vacation homes, condos and apartments. This is however still a public beach; it is possible to walk the entire length.
Seven Mile Beach was awarded "Caribbean’s Best Beach" by Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine. This is no surprise to anyone who has visited it. It is famous for its long sandy beaches, palm trees waving gently in the background, and activities to suit anyone.
Seven Mile is a collection of beaches which stretches all the way from George Town to West Bay. It is actually only 5½ miles long, and is affected by coastal erosion. This is one of the best places in Cayman to watch the sun set. You may even see the famous "green flash" as it disappears beyond the horizon
