Architects

The Cayman Islands have undergone a huge development boom over the past 15 years and the island has attracted some excellent international talent. However, we also have some outstanding local Caymanian Architects who design both residential properties as well as commercial developments. A highly respected architect who is internationally acclaimed (See Maco Magazine) is John Doak and he is well known for his innovative Caribbean style. Another well known architect is Russell Linford from Build (Cayman).  For a full listing of Cayman Islands Architects click on the links below.

We all learnt some very expensive lessons in Hurricane Ivan and since then most local architects are designing plans for clients which exceed Florida hurricane code. Such features as Bahamian shutters are being incorporated not only to make a property look more aesthetically pleasing but also for hurricane protection. I have noticed in my area Red Bay where we received tremendous water damage after Hurricane Ivan many of my neighbors’ Architects encouraged them to re-build either on pilings or with extremely high foundations above the road level. Check with the local experts and use a local architect. For a full listing of Cayman Islands Architects click on the links below.
One that I am familiar with is Kozaily Design. They have an architectural practice which also offers interior design services, along with a building company and tiling company with master marble and granite craftsmen. They guide you from inception to completion and are known for finishing the project on time and within budget. For a full listing of Cayman Islands Architects click on the links below.
