DMS Broadcasting have a local radio station called Kiss which specializes in music from the 80’s. Once a month at The Wharf restaurant they have Boogie Nights which is a fun event where you can dance to 80s music and reminisce about the ‘good old days’. People often dress up in 80’s attire, with wide lapels, bell bottom trousers and afros! Both residents and visitors to Cayman love to dress up in costumes and I believe it started when the world famous Pirates Week festival was launched many years ago. Local Party Supply stores tend to stock costumes year round but bring in much wider varieties before Halloween and Christmas. They supply everything from costumes, to balloons, party invitations, table cloths and matching cups (including famous Disney characters), and fun gag gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and bachelors and hen parties. They also have a good selection of supplies for Cayman weddings.

Several local suppliers now rent out bouncy castles and slip n’slides or all shapes and sizes for children’s parties in Cayman. These are great for entertaining the children and I’ve often seen the ‘grown ups’ having a quick bounce when the kids aren’t looking!
