Cayman Islands Boxing Association

National Sport Association - Non Profit Organization

The Cayman Islands Boxing Association is responsible for the National Amateur Boxing Program and many other programs offered for youth. We are responsible for Cayman’s national team, running the national gymnasium, youth outreach, educational initiatives and promoting healthy lifestyles and discipline through sport.

Our programs benefit the local community by promoting healthy lifestyles and avenues for personal development through sport. Amateur Boxing, in particular, is a discipline that tends to attract youngsters who may be having difficulties in their lives.

In addition the association runs educational, development, early intervention (at risk youth) & mentoring programs primarily for youth!

The Cayman Islands Boxing Association has only been a registered legal entity since July 2017. However, the sport of boxing in the Cayman Islands has operated under the direction of an association since the 1980s - when it was developed by the ‘father of boxing,’ Mr D. Dalmain Ebanks. As a fitting tribute to his legacy, our athletes train, and compete in local bouts, out of the D. Dalmain Ebanks National Boxing Gymnasium, located at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.
