Island Art & Framing is a small shop packed with extraordinary things. Though small, you will find the largest collection of framed art on the island. Whether you are looking for original oils, artistically framed prints or simply art to roll up and take with, it is all at Island Art & Framing.
Do you have a liking for the contemporary? Take a look at the large assortment of abstract Cuban Art. Hang it stretched only, or the in-house crew will frame it to your taste, whether simply or extravagantly.
If you are looking for Caymanian art by Caymanian artists, you will find it here. Locally known artists such as Joanne Sibley, Janet Walker, Lois Brezinski, John Clark, Bendal Hydes, Charles Long, to mention a few, can all be found in this little shop.
Caymanians and Cayman residents love to travel. When they do, they bring back art from all over the world. Next, they make their way to Island Art & Framing where they know they can get good advise and good ideas on how best to frame their treasures.
Even if you have nothing to frame at the moment, stop in at Island Art the next time you are in The Shoppes at Grand Harbour. Say hello to Gordon and his right hand man, (who happens to be a woman) Rona. Take a break from your shopping while you while you check out the variety of art on display.
The shop is owned by Gordon Hewitt and his wife Velma Powery-Hewitt. If you’re lucky, Velma may even be there. She is an expert on everything Caymanian, as well as EVERYONE Caymanian.
