  • Michael Farrington
    Michael Farrington

Originally from South Africa, Mike has been sailing since he was five and started his Shipwright apprenticeship in 1991 in Southampton, the capital of yachting in the UK. He moved to the Cayman Islands in 1996 to captain a 60-foot catamaran, however, the itch to learn more pulled him back to Newcastle in northern England where he worked as a boat builder at the world renowned Ovingtons. He wanted to return to warmer weather, so in 2007 with just a tool box and silver van, Mike started Compass Marine and has worked very hard to grow the company into the flourishing business it is today. Mike is now also the Commodore of the Cayman Islands Sailing Club, where he spends weekends on the water. Call Mike at 916 0660 or email him at [email protected]
