Leonie qualified as a matwork pilates teacher in 2010 having undertaken a nine-month training programme with Body Control UK. She established a successful pilates business in the UK having 100+ clients on her books. During this time, she also undertook various continuing education programmes including Pilates for Pregnancy and Pilates for the Older Person.
She then achieved her Master Matwork Teacher qualification, in the spring of 2011 and is one of only a few teachers in the UK to have this advanced teaching qualification, enabling her to teach the original classical matwork repertoire.
She has since undertaken further specialist training on pilates through pregnancy and post partum with Leah Stewart and Ashley Ritchie of BASI Pilates in LA, California, arguably the premier pilates teacher training organisation in the USA.

Unfit mummies offers pilates matwork classes specifically geared towards mummies. It’s an obvious thing to say – having children completely changes your perspective on life and, importantly, your body.
